The Elevation of the Mechanical Men
Have you ever halted to reflect about the day when androids will assume control of the globe? Well, that day may be sooner than you imagine!
Imagine a universe where mechanical beings are operating our automobiles, bringing our shipments, and even carrying out surgery. It may seem like something out of a sci-fi film, but it’s actually becoming a reality thanks to companies like Tesla.
Tesla: Transforming the Vehicle Field
Tesla has been at the forefront of the electrical car movement for years. Headed by the quirky genius Elon Musk, the firm has not only transformed the way we regard about automobiles but also blazed the way for a future time dominated by automation and AI.
Musk’s vision for Tesla goes beyond just building electric cars. He envisions a society where self-driving cars are the norm, making transportation safer, more efficient, and ultimately, completely autonomous.
One of Tesla’s most remarkable achievements in this field is their Autopilot functionality. With Autopilot, Tesla vehicles can steer highways, alter lanes, and even park themselves. It’s a glimpse into a future time where driving is no longer a duty for humans but rather something taken care of by our android overlords.
My Voyage with Tesla
Before we dive deeper into the world of automation, let me offer myself. My name is Farzad Mesbahi, and I have had the privilege of working at Tesla for several years.
My venture with Tesla began in July 2017 when I joined the firm as an Operations Analyst. I worked at their distribution center in Bethlehem, PA, where I got a personal look at how their supply chain operates.
Over the years, I worked my way up to become a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX. My time at Tesla gave me a unique perspective on the firm’s goals and the incredible potential of automation in the car sector.
From Pet Food to Electric Cars
Before my time at Tesla, I had quite a different career path. I was the Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at Phillips Pet Food & Supplies, the largest pet food distributor in the US. It was a great experience, but nothing could have prepared me for the thrill and innovation I would encounter at Tesla.
In addition to my corporate endeavors, my wife and I also owned a small company in Bethlehem, PA, from 2016 to 2019. It was a wonderful journey of entrepreneurship and taught me valuable lessons about running a business in a swiftly changing universe.
My Thoughts and Observations
As a Tesla shareholder and someone who has experienced the firm from the inside, I have unique insights into the world of automation and its potential impact on our lives.
Firstly, let me make it clear that my opinions are my own and may not represent the views of everyone at Tesla. However, I believe it’s essential to have open conversations about the direction our society is heading.
The Advantages of Automation

Automation also has tremendous potential in industries like healthcare and manufacturing. Robots can perform surgeries with greater precision and reduce the risk of human error. In manufacturing, automation can increase productivity and streamline operations.
The Challenges Ahead
While automation offers incredible chances, it also comes with its fair share of challenges. One of the most pressing concerns is job displacement. As robots take over more tasks previously done by humans, millions of jobs could be at risk.
However, history has shown that with each wave of technological advancements, new opportunities emerge. Jobs that are repetitive or dangerous can be replaced by technology, allowing humans to focus on more creative and fulfilling work.
It’s crucial to ensure that the benefits of automation are shared by all. We must invest in education and retraining programs to equip workers with the skills they need in this new age of automation. Additionally, governments and corporations must work together to create policies that protect workers and promote job growth in emerging industries.
