Elon Musk has given the green light for the test flight of the Starship rocket, which is considered to be the most powerful rocket ever built. The purpose of the rocket is to send astronauts to the Moon and Mars in the future. The 390ft rocket has been selected by NASA for its return to the lunar surface and is currently stationed at the SpaceX spaceport in Boca Chica, Texas. The launch is scheduled to take place at 2.28 pm UK time, but it has already been delayed once due to a frozen valve that caused problems during its first attempt on Monday. Despite the delay, Mr Musk expressed his main objective is to avoid blowing up the launchpad during the first launch. The super heavy Starship rocket has been chosen by the US space agency for its 2025 Artemis III Moon mission, marking the first time since the Apollo program ended in 1972 that mankind has plans to return to the Moon’s surface.
