It is completely astounding with the speed at Starbase lately!
In addition to the series of stress tests taking place at the launch site, SpaceX will have not only a pair of Starships, but multiple others are expected to be ready before this colossal spacecraft embarks on its second orbital flight.
Firstly, on July 18, SpaceX performed the first cryogenic proof test of another Super Heavy rocket that could propel Starship to orbit – if all trials go smoothly.
Specifically, SpaceX performed the proof test on a prototype identified as Booster 10. Note that engineers have also been working on Booster 9, it is unclear which of the two will perform the flight this year; it all depends on which of the two passes all pre-flight tests.
In fact, on June 18, Booster 9 was transported from the Mega Bay assembly site using purpose-built vehicles called SPM Transporters to the Rocket Garden.
There are also concerns when B9 doesn’t have a Hotstage ring. This makes sense if B10 will be the next star!
